  32. I`m using an old Quantum52s as floppy. No problem to format it for
  33. MAC or PC. A Floppy is more than poor...no difference if 880, 1760
  34. or 3520kB...it`s much too small for everything, IMHO.

  36. If my HD runs over it will be backuped on a goldfish...via our portable
  37. subsystem. SCSI for A1200!!! Much less need for disks...

  39. I have to exchange data from home to my school account...must times I
  40. use my pointprogramm to do so. I tried to transport my www page from
  41. home to the accout...but there is a PC diskstation and my files were
  42. truncated to 8+3:-(( next day I sent it all via E-Mail...

  44. The new A1200 won`t need a floppy if it ships with HD and Software
  45. pre-installed on CD. All Software should ship on CD...it`s a little
  46. cheaper than HD space. Something like CD-Write should be included....

  48. If you have to do a local copy, envoy is much easier...even with
  49. parnet. I`ve got a few amigas but only one has a diskdrive...I
  50. don`t need it for anything else than service, if one machine crashes.
  51. Therefore it`s very important the new A1200 will boot its CDs but
  52. that feature is no problem (CD32).

  54. In past my software came von anywhere but now it is on Aminet or
  55. on CDs like Aminet or MeetingPearls. On the other side A1200 is a
  56. game machine and needs a floppy because of the **cking concept....
  57. playing from disks...hopefully the games will be available as
  58. CD32 version.
